You may have encountered some issues with the browser extension while trying to download you words list, so here is how to solve them
Why is my words list is not downloading
Pre-mature attempts; website is not finished loading
The way that Duolingo and most modern websites render content on their website is my manually injecting it. This means using code and going out of the way to manually insert content on the website. This could be done for various reasons. Optimzation, ease of management etcetera.
Duolingo injects content onto it's page. This takes some time. It then manually injects the words list onto the page again. This also takes time. You may have even caught the words list loading with the three-dot animation. This does not mean you have to scroll down and click 'Load more' on the words list; the extension does that for you.
When loading a website / page, wait a few seconds until you can see all content loaded up. Then, export.
Downloading delay is too long
The extension downloads words with a delay, so that it has time to properly read, compile, and sort your words list into the correct file format. This delay is calculated based on the number of your words. The more the words, the more the delay.
A couple of users have reported that they could not download their words, with the caveat being that they were nearing the end of their course with a lot of words. They also reported that their browser was very bloated. This could be a cause, but if you experience the former, report the bug or contact the developer.
The solution in this and almost all other cases is to reload the page. Wait for it to reload, and then, click the extension popup to export. It usually takes one or two attempts at reloading the page.
Downloaded words list is incomplete
Once you words list downlods, check to see if all of the words are there. Scroll down to see if the first word is actually present in the downloaded file.
If this error repeats for you, try downloading in .csv mode. The solution to this is to reload the page and try again.
Report an error
The solution to almost all problems is to reload, and try again. Having a working internet connection, and not having a bloated browser is also necessary. In extreme cases, you may try clearing thr cache of your browser, and as a last resort, re-installing the extension.

Try including a screenshot of the entire webpage in your report, and a screenshot of the concsole. The console provides the developer with valuable internal information of what the extension is doing. For Chrome, you can click Ctrl + Shift + J on Windows, and Cmd + Option + J on Mac. Take a screenshot of this and attach it in your report.
